Whether your child is due to attend Forest School either because their turn at nursery has come around, or they are taking part in one of our Holiday Day Camps during a term break – it’s important that they come prepared!
For a typical Forest School session, you will need…
-
Comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting mucky or wet
-
A waterproof coat (and trousers too if possible)
-
A named water bottle
-
Sturdy shoes for walking – wellies or walking boots are ideal
-
Long sleeves and covered ankles – in all weathers
-
On colder days – a base layer, thick socks, warm mid-layers, a cosy coat, hat, gloves and a scarf.
-
On warmer days – a hat, sun-cream and light layers
-
A change of clothes – just in case
-
A plastic bag to put muddy and wet clothes/shoes in
-
Energy!
While in extreme weather conditions, we might decide to alter our plans, inclement weather doesn’t stop our fun. We believe that facing the elements is all part of the Forest School experience which is why it’s essential your child comes prepared for their day ahead.
